Supabase is acquiring Turso and says it already launches more than one million databases a week, increasingly from agents. The stated direction is a short-lived database per agent task. That product is not something you turn on this week, and current Supabase projects stay on Postgres.

Supabase is buying Turso so agents can have their own databases. Nothing to migrate

No migration. Keep Postgres. Watch for per-agent databases before you redesign environments.

Unified.to’s September update, published 2 October, adds free Agent Skills that teach Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor how to build against its API, including OAuth app setup in vendor portals. The catalogue stood at 1,030 integrations at the end of September. The skills are instructions, not a finished connector.

WordPress.com agents can now install, activate, update, and remove plugins, and the built-in WordPress Agent documents the same job from chat. Plugin code runs as PHP, so this is a staging test, not a default for client production. WooCommerce prices, stock, and orders are still outside these tools.

WordPress.com agents can install plugins from chat. Do not hand them production

Test plugin and content actions on one staging site. Do not grant install rights on client production.

Test AdaptlyPost inside Claude on one client post. Do not make it the default scheduler.

Apple said it will tighten macOS Full Disk Access because some apps, including AI agents, can expose mail, messages, files, and browsing history from one switch. The new control is not dated. The useful move is an audit of what you have already granted.

Agents · Brief · 3 min · SoloWatch

Apple will make Full Disk Access harder to grant. No date yet.

OpenAI's always-on agent is live in ChatGPT, Slack, and Teams, and the cheapest way in is a $100 plan. Pro is excluded in the UK, Switzerland, and the EEA at launch. Business Premium is the route in Spain. Extra dots are still unpriced.

ChatGPT for Word opened in the sidebar on 1 October for managed workspaces unless an admin had already switched it off. Drafting stays inside the file you send, but usage draws from the same token pool as Codex, and Microsoft 365 still has to allow the add-in.

ChatGPT for Word is on by default, and the admin switch is the real decision

If you already pay for ChatGPT Business, check the Word switch before staff install it themselves.

Microsoft will turn usage-based billing on for new Copilot Business purchases, not for seats you already own. The purchase can create the tenant billing rail and a default spending policy. Cowork and other credit features then meter on top of the seat.

New Copilot Business seats switch usage billing on, with a 4,000-credit default

Do not buy a new Copilot Business seat until the spending policy is yours, not Microsoft's.

On 1 October 2026 Shopify opened Canvas, a workspace where every page sits on one surface and Sidekick writes theme changes you can see land. The classic editor stays. A theme edited in Canvas does not get theme updates, and app blocks, Markets, rollouts, and translations are unsupported at launch. Trial a duplicate. Leave the live theme alone.

On 1 October 2026 Shopify added annotations to supported time-series reports. You attach a title, a description, a date or a date range, and a type, using Shopify's categories or your own. Notes are shared with staff who have Reports permission and sit beside context Shopify and apps already attach. The chart still does not explain itself. Someone has to write the note.
